  i already know that this rating is pretty high because of my love for river, but come on! this was so well-paced and i actually felt like there was a lot of genuineness poured into it. some of the scenes are just so, so earnest. i love the social commentary on masculinity, the effects of war and physical appearance as well. the tension of eddie looking at rose and looking away multiple times before he finally kisses her is everything…

  i do not know why i love this movie so much; it’s very simple and there’s nothing really spectacular about it but it’s just so fun and lighthearted which i think is so rare in kollywood nowadays. there are so many plot/action-heavy movies in kollywood now, which is totally fine but i personally just find it super refreshing whenever i can just watch a film like this that has no larger purpose other than to make people laugh or smile. and of course i’m just a sucker for dhanush in rom-com roles. (dhanush & genelia make such a good pair imo, they don’t get enough credit)
