The definition of hyper-violence, down to the flesh and bone. Real exploitation sadistic-ness about it that makes all the artery-spurting, brain sludge and chopped fingers super entertaining to watch. So many "oh man" cringe-worthy deaths that I lost count. Absolutely unhinged behavior from a Satan possessed Gabriel Byrne. Clearly having so much fun being this all powerful force that messes with everyone he gets in contact with. Arnie's character is a bit too complex for the limited acting skills he has, making it quite a sleepy performance given is natural charisma. The texture and colour palette gives off the nice, dingy, Se7en-esuq dreariness to everything but my word this is all stitched together by some of the worst editing I've seen in years. Action scenes are unintelligible and no confidence to rest on shots made this a headache to watch.
