It’s not a toy, don't ever call it that!

Actually found the silliness and the over the top scenes pretty fun. Super weird and outlandish and deliberately so.

I think I would’ve disliked this film if it took itself more seriously.

Theo James was great in it too.

Not the exploding motorbike - straight out of Fast and Furious 😂

He also fired a shotgun right next to her face and not a scratch? Her would’ve been blown smoove off SMH 🤦🏻‍♂️

Motherfuckers dodging shotgun blasts but jogging at 0.0001mph like a crippled grandpa 👴

The corpse that looked like a high school paper mache art project 😂

They could’ve slowly strolled out of there with the loaded shotgun, blade and metal pipe.
Because the knob heads attacking them were just random geezers with a knife 🤓

One of the best alien films in the franchise.
Combining some awesome aspects of the original alien, aliens and Prometheus whilst managing to stand alone as an exciting piece of scifi horror amongst the wider universe.

Right from start the intensely sinister intro sequence really sets the tone with some great establishing shots and a cosmically terrifying score.

The characters are dynamic and interesting and all acted well respectively, instantly giving a driving force to the plot.

    It’s also nice…

Story wise there isn’t really a lot going on, and this isn’t really a ground breaking film that attempts anything knew. But it’s enjoyable enough.
The acting is ok, but there’s something I suppose in the main characters relationship.

The one thing I did like about this was the monsters design, while not particularly great CGI it wasn’t awful. The monsters are quite creepy and oddly unsettling and maybe the one unique thing about this film.

Somehow it kept my attention, maybe from the atmosphere? Not sure why but it’s worth a watch anyway for something not overly deep or heavy,
