My favorite films are the last 4 movies with 4.5 or more stars.
On hiatus.
What a wonderful surprise this was! Not that I expected a bad movie or anything, but this film is barely ever spoken of, so while I was expecting a decent film, I wasn't expected to be wowed.
But wowed I was. At its core, The Motive is a murder mystery about clueing together what happened that fateful night in apartment 2025 where 4 people tragically lost their lives.
However, it's not really the core of the film at all. In…
This movie has it all: stiff animation, unfocused cinematography, characters looking at computer screens, boring characters, armchair philosophy, dull colors, almost 5 whole minutes of Godzilla action. Anyway, I doubt it'd do much good. The entire thing feels just so uninspired,…
I hate this movie. It features Louis Koo and his family and this alien cat thing who landed on earth but lost his super necklace (or whatever the hell it's called), therefore, logically, has to merge with a cute fluffy red cat, which results in a guy wearing a cat costume and a CGI cat head farting, meowing, pretending to be a mother and generally being completely useless for roughly 109 minutes.
That's pretty much all I'm willing to write about this pathetic excuse for a movie.
PS: I rated 1 star instead of 0.5 because I may have chuckled at the farting jokes. Sue me.

This is the first of those films. Although it's set in the mid 17th century, the structure of this film reminds very much of his crime films, "Battles Without Honor Or Humanity" in particular. It features a large cast of characters, angry men, narration,…
