Blue Velvet 1986
We watched the pussy-mommy-screaming-r8pe scene in one of my college film classes, and I knew from that scene alone that I was not mature or smart enough yet to really get this masterpiece.

RIP David Lynch I know your ghost enjoyed the show.

Nosferatu 2024
As a Priestess of Isis, this classic remake struck a very intimate chord with me. I saw this with my husband and a respectful, open-minded audience. The right to life is a controversial subject, as is the validity of romantic comedies as a substantial film genre. 2016 was a hell of a year, and at the time I wrote this one off; scoffing at Emilia Clark’s entry into film from TV.
I missed out.
I’ve seen several clips on TikTok that had me seeking out this one on the streamers. At the time, months ago, it wasn’t available. Right now, it’s free on Prime.
Emilia Clark…
