The Silence of the Lambs 1991
Freaked out yet can’t look away. Anthony Hopkins was in command as a slithering psychopath with an appetite for human flesh. Jodie Foster’s gradual descent into the seedy basement of Buffalo Bill was nail biting and the night vision sequence only made that much more disorienting. The editing really seals the deal in the way it plays with our expectations but also allows the film to move at a comfortable pace. The misdirection involved in the getaway scene with the ambulance was executed so well. I’ve seen this once before a few years back but this revisit felt surprisingly fresh.

Better Man 2024
What an exciting watch. Transitions within musical numbers were bold and far from obvious. Just the sheer detail that went into everything was a delight. It had a rabid pace and even went beyond the typical presentation of how fame can be destructive. It added a personal touch of what music meant to Robbie.
