  Initial thoughts from the opening were "OK, this is kind of a gen z, self aware "horror/slasher", let's lean into this and see how it goes, could be fun." It then became significantly less self aware and more, the writers don't know what they're doing. Leading into an ending that was predictable and, incredibly tedious. There were large parts of this film where I had a fun time but, on the whole, it kind of did my head in and was hard work.

  At one point during this, my cat sat in front of me and had a wash, blocking most of the screen, and I didn't move him.

  Gallowgog was, by far, the highlight of this film.
