This is an exceptional movie. So moving and touching, without throwing the obvious in your face. Disturbing and eerie, it’s an excellent depiction of the “other side” of one of the most horrific events in history. The more you know about the topic, the more horrifying it gets; the viewer’s experience is guiding the narrative.

I am already so partial to Cate Blanchett but man oh man this woman is incredible. The film is perfectly succinct, witty, and has great pacing. I will say, it was a bit hard to understand British slang and spy terminology at first, but once you get used to it it’s fine. I love that the movie is being set up in a certain manner for who the mole might be but then ends up taking a turn you didn’t expect, and it stays consistent with the themes it set up at the beginning, like devotion to each other.

Debut of a young Croatian screenwriter both on and off screen that’s almost too good to be believed that it’s been done without any budget and out of pure love and belief for the screenplay. Intelligently humorous, we watched a group of youngsters deal with debt collection from townies, navigating an array of tough situations. Each stop on the map to collect the money builds tension, adds to the pressure of their situation, and develops another layer of complexity but also bonds the group together in friendship. For a newbie, marvelous!
