The Thin Red Line 1998
If Saving Private Ryan was an art house film.
Like much of Malick’s work, this is a slow burn that drags on way too long at times. Those looking for the fast paced brutal action of SPR will be throughly disappointed, and that’s not to say there aren’t heart wrenching violent scenes. This is just a different type of war film.
