  Pandering in a way that reminds me of my favorite childhood movies and unnatural in a way that stays true to the style of Roald Dahl. The casting doesn’t seem to stray much outside of black and white and it was severely disappointing to see so many fat jokes, but the ending was a good reminder of the power and possibility of believing in a deep-seated dream

  Wonderfully complex and uncomfortably close to heart. So many times I wanted to stand up and leave the theatre, so many times I embarrassed myself by laughing a little too loud. Bravo.
