I have a hard time placing this one. I thought it started out really strong and Anne Meara and Parker Posey were brilliant. I really enjoyed seeing the ensamble play off each other from the parents’ house on the way to NY… and then I just didn’t and wanted it to end. Somewhere around the third act the film fell apart for me. It felt undisciplined, and the ending didn’t quite stick the landing.

Road to Perdition 2002
Looking back this movie is pretty frustrating. Tom Hanks was miscast. Conrad Hall’s breathtaking cinematography, Thomas Newman’s score, and Paul Newman’s acting didn’t deserve this story.
