I’m judging this movie harshly. Why if you can time travel would you not try to prevent the enslavement of others or focus on preventing something catastrophic? Why is your personality so basic for having that surreal lived experience? Why are you grooming a small child in a field to be your wife? I paused this movie with 20 minutes left, surprised because nothin much had happened yet. I’m annoyed. The Hallmark movie where the woman touches an old movie prop and travels back in time to fall in love with an old Hollywood heart throb was better.

As a person with a mother, an artist, a woman and someone who might be a mother one day, I appreciated the points this movie was making. It was a very palatable film, done intentionally I’m sure to be digestible to a wider audience, but I find myself wishing it was even more experimental and surreal, I really enjoyed the parts of it that were. It’s definitely not a horror film! Almost has the echo of a woman-centric 90’s movie in its presentation, which I like.
