  Sad to say this is my first time watching this movie…..
  You’re probably wondering how I got through life until this point not knowing these references, and the truth is… I actually don’t know. I must’ve just laughed and pretended I knew what you all were talking about.  I definitely unlocked a new level of knowledge and understanding tonight… feeling enlightened

  This movie quite literally changed the trajectory of my life. The best portrayal of the Asian American experience (& second-gen immigrant experience) I have ever seen. It’s happy, it’s sad, it’s chaotic, absurd, and bittersweet. I think the fact that this is Ke Huy Quan’s return to acting makes this movie so much better, his own story is a testament to the Asian American community and the dreams they work so hard to build and achieve. Michelle Yeoh was absolutely phenomenal (as always) and Stephanie Hsu’s talent and ability to play a wide range of “characters” in this movie was mind-blowing. 1000% recommend :)
