A few absolutely exquisite laugh out loud lines, though I don’t think they were intended as comedy? It’s so cartoonishly grimy that you gotta laugh.

I honestly couldn’t tell if GVS was intending to use the protagonist with his entitled and predatory, racist fetishism, as like, a vehicle for a commentary on white supremacy, or if the writing was giving his character somewhat of a pass, like, “no it’s cool, he’s “an amigo” “

Maybe I’m a sap but damn I just really loved it. Made me laugh and cry. Extremely cozy tearjerker for feeling lonely around the holidays. I saw this in a theater literally full of old people and they all loved it too. Paul Giamatti is so good. The 70s New England vibe is impeccable.
