Never Not Love You 2018
Stereotypical characters with very real emotions. I thought it perfectly captured how incredibly stupid but earnest love can be at the beginning — and also how hopeless and frustrating it can feel once the initial rush wears off and reality sinks in.
Second act shattered my composure (I'm way too familiar with crying at airports), but final act was a bit tough to buy. From a very real, visceral tension, I felt like the narrative tumbled into a conclusion it didn’t earn.
