  Alright I’m coming back to Letterboxd just to say how overrated this movie is. The aesthetic/visual elements of it are great for sure. The performances (particularly Rutger Hauer’s) are fantastic. But the thematic and philosophical elements of the movie are so surface level that I thought I had to have been missing something when it all ended. Even stuff like Westworld and Ex Machina (not incredible film or tv themselves) seem to have a lot more interesting things to say…

  Not sure exactly what point he was trying to make with this but there were some standout moments that made this worth the watch, like the part where the 9 year old kid calls his dad a cuck for falling for qanon. That and the Alex Jones weightlifting scene
