I have a playlist on Spotify called “vibes > lyrics” and I feel like Synchronic is in the same category.
Visuals, aesthetic, cinematography, score, effects, and acting are all exceptional considering the budget.
Sometimes you don’t have to completely dissect a movie to still enjoy and just take it for how it looks/feels.

Thor movies remind me of musical artists that are pretty good in features but are garbage in their own songs. Like I couldn’t tell you a single song that Ty Dolla $ign has actually made, but I could list a dozen songs he’s featured in where he goes hard. Thor is like Ty Dolla $ign; he’s great in the Avengers and easily forgettable in his stand-alones.
After watching Tobey’s origin story spider-man I have to say, I would have really enjoyed a Tom Holland origin Spidey even if it would have seemed redundant. I feel like we missed out on some key character building and relationship stuff between him and Aunt May, things that would have helped ground his first full intro to the MCU. On first viewing I thought Vulture was so cool but on a re-watch he was just meh.
P.s. I say I’m done with super hero movies and the MCU but here I am, a dog returning to its vomit
