    The first thing I did after watching was research the fuck out of it because (as a white pereon) it felt wrong not to like it. I now appreciate how it satirizes the horror genre and uses it to emulate the ostracised perspective of a black person. That being said, I just didn't fw the incredibly overt plot- I get that was it's intention but for me I think it could have been more effective if it forced the audience to think more about what was happening because personally, I became disengaged due to its predictability. Feel free to debate me on this one.

    It was alright. I don't think it should have won some of the Oscars it did- maybe going into it with the expectation that it would blow my mind was the wrong choice. I like how it destigmatised the sex worker community and that was clearly their aim based on the director's commentary, but I felt it didn't have the impactful tone and overall emotional feeling that other films like The Subtance gave me.

    I thought the plot was endearing, the characters were charismatic, the general vibe made me feel good- yet I left it feeling kinda, well, disappointed. I didn't like the ending message of the film as it supported Harry's tiresome argument that men and women can't just be friends. It annoyed me a lot.
