I feel like I need to do a paranormal romance deep dive now. Can’t believe it took me this long to see this but it was worth the wait! Demi is everything and this film just feels so sincere throughout even when it gets ridiculous. Perfect amounts heartfelt and comedic. Also everyone in the movie is distractingly beautiful!

Soundtrack to a Coup d'Etat 2024
One of those films that leaves you sitting in silence afterwards… Really amazing editing and integration of music into the various interconnected scenes. I feel like this film, Nickel Boys, and Dahomey are kind of in conversation and in terms of painting a larger picture of exploitation and have really stood out in showcasing unique or experimental perspective on the hostility of the US and Europe towards African and Black population on micro and macro levels.
