  Ultimately I never have been nor ever will be a fan of war films. Partly because I feel they glorify violence and I don't think that that needs enforcing in popular culture. This film however is such a cinematic masterpiece that if you took out all the combat parts and just had the narrative story, it would be nearing perfection.
