I wanted to watch another ‘Studio Ghibli’ movie , one that wouldn’t give me nightmares.. this one was recommended as ‘cosy and comforting’ so went for it
The visuals are beautiful, soundtrack relaxing, storyline quaint. Its an easy watch, but not riveting. You have to be in the mood to be relaxed and just enjoy something lighthearted visually, slow-medium pace.
It lacks a riveting point of emphasis where you feel profoundly impacted, which some moviegoers seek. But it fulfills its own purpose otherwise for someone watching the top Studio Ghibli films for enjoyment!
