Watched this last week and kept forgetting to log but I'm kinda glad I had to wait to review it because it gave me more to think about.
Profoundly sad movie about addiction and the depths of unhealthy friendships. Very glib and flighty in a way that feels ineffective while watching but then kinda hits ya as the credits roll. Its borderline fun and easy to watch like damn Forrest Gump but really plumbs some depths of the soul.

This movie is doodoo cheeks. Just simply not an interesting story with characters that are stupid and disagreeable throughout. Big disappointment because it has all the hallmarks of something I’d like but this has got to be one of dullest unhorniest horny thrillers ever!!!!
There is SOME decent acting and it feels like a real movie so two stars.
A thunder perfect film. A literally unparalleled visual style with an intense and penetrating philosophy. Simultaneously holding a simmering disgust and red hot yearning for the age of heroic times. Is the age of honor gone for ever? Did it ever exist? What are we left with when the symbols fade?
The existence and delayed appreciation for this magisterial vision of humanity just shows you how desiccated and useless the world of film academia is. Drop out of film school kids, those people are the enemy of art and life.
I will watch this many more time.
Wow! Floored me! I liked this way more than Possesion. So much to chew on and consider here! Unbelievable score, photography, costumes, art direction, and performances.
There are aspects of this early on that made me think of Charlie M which got me thinkin'... HEAVY PtK elements at play here. Satan as handler, I could scarcely believe my senses.
