it's really hard to watch this movie or write a review without getting my personal feelings involved. as someone who's been growing up and studying in hong kong, it's not hard to relate to some (if not all) parts of the different characters with different identities — a typical asian child with typical parents, a student who seemed composed on the outside but was fighting so many battles inside, a victim of bullying, a child who cried in piano lessons…
