Dune: Part Two 2024
I have a feeling this would be baffling in parts if you aren’t familiar with the source material - but the people I spoke to who were in that boat didn’t feel like they’d missed out on much. Pacing feels a bit too quick and the timeline feels a little disorienting, but I think thats just a function of the book, frankly (pun intended).
Impressive that the film manages to introduce a major antagonist halfway through and still make his contribution to the story satisfying. Tough thing to do. This director is at the peak of his craft - movies like this just don’t exist anymore.

Just incredible that the filmmakers invited a hideous, guttural, unintelligible language for the aliens to speak. Really helped with the immersion. Also tits.
