  Why did I only rate this 4 out of 5 stars the last time I watched this? It's perfection. I have found my new Valentine's Day tradition and it's making my friends watch this with me until they all love it as much as I do.

  So, I pretty much only knew the song "Magic to Do" going into this and W O W it was not what I was expecting but damn if I don't love a good fourth wall breaking, reality twisting, show-within-a-show...show. With glittery costumes! Win-win.

  How can anyone other than Ben Vereen play the Lead Player? How haven't I already fallen in love with Chita Rivera? Who let so many candles be lit on stage?? I don't know but this was a delight as far as I'm concerned.

  I won't lie - I'm greatly confused by the overwhelmingly good ratings for this movie.

  Watching this was like watching watered down copies of the first Ice Age, Lilo & Stitch, and How to Train Your Dragon - the latter two of which were co-directed by Chris Sanders...the sole director of The Wild Robot. Cliche characters, poor world building, and bad pacing. Overall just disappointing.

  Also really bummed to say that something about the animation style looked cheap? I'm sure it wasn't but it just didn't click for me.
