Incredibly beautiful portrait of a deeply autistic man with a hyperfixation prone addictive personality that Werner Herzog has painted so artfully.

Every five minutes of this doc will have you changing your opinion on its subject. It manages to be equally harrowing and uplifting. The thought of that tape will stay with me forever.

    THAT’S a fucking movie

this is how you write dialogue, this is how you tell a story that unravels over two decades. this is how you make me lean forward in my fucking seat and feel a film.

i can think of 50 sports movies that don’t have half the energy that this has, i can think of 100 romance movies that don’t have half the raw sexuality this has. it’s doing so many things right that it would be easier to list what it did wrong, but i can’t even think of anything.

    and the soundtrack, was perfect.
