  I honestly don’t remember how I heard about this one and when it ended up in my queue, but as is typical Tubi came through on a weekday afternoon and did not disappoint. Funny, cutting and beautiful. Incredible score. I didn’t absolutely love this but anything Sendijarevic does will be of intrigue moving forward.

  I fucking love Steven Soderbergh. He’s on his A game here—sleek, smart, and sexy. I had heard very little about this and was lucky to go in blind. What a fun time at the MOVIES.

  A damning portrayal of the violence of American ideology inflicted both at home and abroad. The juxtaposition of the images of fire and smoke in the Vietnam War with the fire and smoke of steel town Pennsylvania struck me so much more this time than when I first saw this movie (around 8 years ago), some breathtaking cuts. The first act felt like it dragged on, but as the movie progresses you realize how thoughtful and skillful Cimino was building…

  The eephus makes him lose track of time, it’s pretty mean that way.

  Carson Lund coming out of left field with a deeply funny and probing existential treatise on sport, time, and place. I feel like this could just play on and on and on and on.
