  Eggers firing on all cylinders.

  The changes to the Dracula story are good - I loved deifying Count Orlok as more of a lich than a mere vampire, and adding personal sacrifice and more of a starring than damsel-in-distress role for Ellen. The awesome build up to the first appearance of Count Orlok is sort of a let down, though, and I wasn't really happy with his character design.

  i expected a two star movie going in. or one and a half. this was hard to watch more often than not
