Even as someone who loves the silliness of the Monsterverse Godzilla films, it’s nice to have a contrast. Minus One is that and more. A film that truly makes Godzilla feel like a force of nature and puts the human characters front and centre. If I had to mark it down for anything it’d be that it didn’t quite land at the very end.

The Godfather 1972
I needed to rewatch this to really appreciate it. The first time none of the subtitles worked, so a large part of the film (namely the parts set in Sicily) were a chore. However, seeing it again properly I can really get what a masterpiece this is.
