I liked it, it was a bit white saviour-ish but I still think the message of the importance of education is important. It felt a bit to fairytale picture perfect and everything works out for them and I can't really imagine how close it was to the real life story but it was fun to watch.

La Haine 1995
Really impressive movie. I like the black and white and the variety of camera shots which just add to the story instead of being distracting. I wish I was better at French because I think so much of the slang and choice of words gets lost in the subtitles/translation. Very scary that the message of the movie is still so relevant 30 years after it came out. The ending is amazing while being terrible.
