I usually don’t review animated films on here but this one’s special:
Kubo was fantastic and brilliantly made. I’m not an animation nerd, but I thought the quality of stop motion was incredible. I’ve never seen animation work so well in an artistic context. Truly beautiful visuals and emotional score.
The plot was equally incredible. I love the Japanese inspiration and the character design. Monkey and Beetle really do feel like they could have my back.

Good movie. I think it deserves most of the hype it gets. However, as deep as the film tries to be, I still think it’s pretty surface level. Nothing really hit me in a meaningful way. But, I gotta keep in in mind, this is a film was made to suit both people like myself and 8 year olds.

Not my thing. A little too stylish and in my opinion it strayed too far from what made the original great.
Personally, I like traditionalist murder mysteries. This was just kinda splurged. I also simply just felt like the story wasn’t as good here compared to Knives Out 1.
Kinda disappointed ngl. I’m writing all bad things here; however, this isn’t a bad film. I just don’t feel it’s a good one.
