For just being a simplistic superhero movie it did fine. I think the post modern references were a bit much at times and disrupted the flow however i think that's expected. What I really wish they did was take advantage of the global stakes they put in place with the resource adamantium and put that as more of a focal point of the plot. I mean we have these Cold War…
Second time watching this was so much more rewarding because I understood it better then when I was a kid. Michael's transformation is flawlessly executed and the film ends with a provoking question about his decision to kill the heads of the families. It's great just for the opening scene and kitten in Don Corleones arms lol.
There’s so much more to be discovered in this movie. It’s incredible depth makes it worth re watching and I’m sure I missed a lot this first time.
