The Man Who Skied Down Everest 1975
Alongside For All Mankind, this is a documentary that I think everyone should see before they die.
The cinematography by Mitsuji Kanau is simply mind-blowing, there's no other words to describe it. You don't find shots this good in most productions today, let alone lugging camera equipment up the tallest mountain in the world.

Falling Down 1993
I must admit that when I first saw Falling Down it was because I couldn't find anything else to watch. After 10 minutes I was proven the fool by perhaps the best opening atmosphere in anything I've ever seen. I think I even found myself sweating and writhing in my seat.
Michael Douglas and Robert Duvall give stellar performances opposite each other in what unravels as a tense and complex stand-off. Mired in deep societal issues, the plot is a shining example of how people can become very dangerous at the drop of a hat.
