This movie has beautiful cinematography and great performances (the Dunkirk scene was very impressive). It tries to translate the meta-commentary about storytelling and literature from the book into move form, which is a difficult task (e.g. the score, the filter, information about time and place written in typewriter font), but unfortunately it doesn’t reach the impact that the novel has.

Ratcatcher 1999
One of the most moving, beautiful and delicate Coming-of-Age movies I’ve seen. William Eadie is incredible, I can’t even put into words how he creates magic with his acting.

All of Us Strangers 2023
Not just sad in a cry-and-be-done-with-it kind of way but in a rip-your-heart-out-and-leave-you-devastated-and-hollow kind of way…such a poetic and delicate portrayal of grief and loneliness and connection…and the end 😭

2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
The scene at the end when he travels through space and time with this creepy ass music by Ligeti is one of my favorite scenes ever and seeing it on the big screen literally felt like a trip
The only bad thing about watching this on the big screen is that you can‘t pause to read all the instructions of the zero gravity toilet
