  Time Bandits 1981

  Very fun and full of Monty Python-like wittiness. The sets, production design and locations are the biggest highlight. Fight scenes are noticeably crisp too and a stacked cast comes through strong. 

  Wasn’t my favorite Gilliam flick but quite creative.

  A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood 2019

  Does a solid job encapsulating the spirit of Mr. Rogers throughout the film. Hanks is captivating in every scene he’s in (no surprise there). 

  While I don’t mind Rogers not being center stage in the film (in a literal supportive role), some moments involving Lloyd’s family felt underbaked or repetitive. Really good performances though.
