Nickel Boys 2024
At first, this movie is kind of hard to get into and follow. I was kind of confused throughout the first third of the movie, but as I kept watching and settled into the perspective, it became more and more interesting. I didn’t quite understand some of the images that came into play, so this movie definitely made me do some research after the fact which made me appreciate it so much more. Very unique storytelling for sure! The ending had me gagged I will say. Overall great movie just slightly difficult to get into.

Beautiful movie. Fernanda Torres is excellent, and the way they so respectfully told the story of the Paiva family was so well done and captured your attention the whole time. Lowkey Fernanda should probably win the Oscar. Such a touching performance. Hope it wins best international feature film.
