In Mickey 17 Bong Joon-ho may have achieved the impossible — surpassing the incredible Parasite with a flurry of visceral violence, crunchy dark comedy and pointed philosophical musings that arrested my attention from beginning to end. It was sharp, funny, sickening and prescient without a hint of contrivance or agenda, and I’ll remember it for years to come.

There Will Be Blood 2007
There Will Be Blood is a triumph. It is at once a grand and disturbing thesis on greed, pride and the foul undergrowth of “the American Dream”, while simultaneously presenting an affecting and frustrating portrait of a man who could’ve done so much good — but didn’t. I didn’t find it emotional or feel a whole lot throughout its runtime, yet the spectacular performances of Lewis and Dano will endure with me for a long time.

There are no explosive moments, not necessarily any disturbing revelations about the characters or the future — just a quiet, thoughtful exploration of modern love and technology bolstered by a captivating performance by Joaquin Phoenix.
I think Spike speaks some important lessons through the film, particularly about our yearning for love in all its forms and our need to surrender to the transience of those around us.Translated from by -
