  A perfectly cartoonish movie for a cartoonish time. I really loved that Bong leaned into the absurdity of the plot to make his most salient points. This movie felt so far tonally from the anti-capitalism of Parasite, yet so unabashedly unsubtle about labor that it worked well for me.   One of the best times I’ve had in a theater this year not because it was good, but because it was so engaging in spite of Coppola’s intentions. It’s very apparent he can still direct, because there’s some genuinely well made scenes in this movie.   Lynch will always be the master of dream logic. Always teetering between making you laugh your ass off, then dropping your smile just as quick as you got it the second the camera turns around. So glad I got to watch this for the first time with a packed theater and no knowledge of it beforehand. Truly nothing else like it
