Four movies into my Mike Leigh intro and I'm totally sold on how vivid his worldview translates to the screen. The characters feel so true to life and alive in his stories. This is a fascinating foil to Hard Truths where there is so much catharsis going on here from people that feel stuck contrasted with the lack of that catharsis coming in Hard Truths.
