    I think I'm going insane reading the reviews because I didn't find this all that scary, upsetting or even uncomfortable. I liked the way it was shot but that was about it. I don't think the premise is all that profound either! Sorry! Misanthropy isn't really a statement and the idea that we all possess some "evil" in our soul or whatever just lurking beneath social acceptability is so trite

    Probably gauche to pick on the premise of this to much at this point. Bong Joon-ho has such a funny, vulgar understanding of class struggle that the metaphor of this is impossible to take seriously. Chris Evans is periodically charming but ultimately just not leading man material, no wonder he's only ever been in like 2.5 good movies despite being straight out of central casting. Still had a fun time, though I think I laughed more than the movie intended
