  I'm a Robbie Williams fan now. He's very charming — more so in the press junket interviews I watched after, but in the movie too. And the movie is good! It's tropey, yes, but not hacky! Everything works, and the depression narrative is actually compelling?? It's clearly in the voice of someone who has gone through it and learned how to discuss it without being self pitying or using overly therapized language. It's fun! And the monkey thing works! Best musical of the year.

  It’s kinda crazy that sometimes you can be wearing a costume without wearing a costume 🤔 and sometimes people will see you in a costume even when you’re not in a costume 🫣 like people assign themselves and others socially defined roles depending on the context 😦 and true vulnerability and understanding is really tricky 😵‍💫
