  The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie 2024

  This movie deserves applause for not going fully Looney Toons and instead telling a really fun homage to 50s sci-fi starring Porky and Daffy. It stretches its extremely modest budget well and I hope that it gives Coyote Vs Acme the legs it needs.

  Some of the dumbest internal logic of any movie I’ve ever seen and it could have used more of the CEO of Sex but otherwise it was a solid action flick.

  I went into this movie with tempered expectations, not having really enjoyed the original. I left with the same adrenaline rush I walked out of Top Gun: Maverick with. Twisters is what a summer blockbuster should feel like, a high octane thrill ride with its heart on its sleeve. 

  Anyone can direct its action sequences, but what makes Twisters spin on where Twister spun out for me is in Lee Isaac Chung’s direction of its emotional moments. Chung isn’t here…
