A once in a lifetime movie.
The Brutalist is a tour de force. An undoubtedly vast accomplishment in modern filmmaking, that fires on all cylinders in spite of its over three hour longtime. The Brutalist presents the “American Dream” at face value, a reminder of the true immigrant experience and the false belief that America is anything different.

It Chapter Two 2019
As an avid King fan this is very disappointing. Way too overstuffed for its own good and weak in the scares, it’s ironic really. One of the main characters of the film is a writer who’s running gag is that he can’t write good endings. It Chapter Two can’t seem to muster up a satisfying ending and comes across as a cheap jumpscare fest.
