Blade Runner 2049 2017
The cinematography and direction of Blade Runner 2049 build a world that feels otherworldly and eerily similar to our own. Not often do sci-fi films of this scale feel so human at their core, but this one does it expertly, and it is special.

Probably the movie I've watched the most in my lifetime. Ledger's performance is one of the best performances ever put to the silver screen and Nolan's storytelling is fantastic. This is the movie that got me started on the path to filmmaking.
