I'm sorry but I am a shill for stupid human dog movies. Most are not high art (or even medium art) so my rating is on the overall Werewolf Genre Scale. I knew nothing about the premise so appreciated the unexpected "what if The Howling but also The Purge?" mashup.

Subverted all of my expectations.
Immense acting all around. Excellent direction. Clever plotting. Has a very late-90s/early-aughts indie film feel. Thinking Brick, Timecrimes, Pi, and Run Lola, Run. Dark humor with a soft magical realism edge within a pulp, hesit film. Throw in a healthy dose of accurate criticism of the U.S. criminal justice system (acted by three Brits and a Swede) without being too preachy.
