  This is an entertaining doc, nothing particularly groundbreaking or special about it. Loses half a star for jot featuring Stoke (Apart from one 5 second shot of his homecoming gig from 2022 in Vale Park actually it can lose another star for Vale Park being the only part of Stoke briefly shown)

  Robbie is a compelling person, and there probably is a very good story about overcoming depression and and addiction. I just hope 'Better Man' achieves this and is not just 'quirky man as a monkey movie'

  I think this might be one of the purest examples of cinema ever created. This piece along with its predecessors in Linklaters 'Before' trilogy take simple elements such as the direction, style and individual locations to portray a level of intimacy rarely seen in modern cinema.

  In a growing world of 'fast food' cinema made by directors with grand ambition this trilogy is a three course meal which should be savoured and enjoyed rather than hastily consumed.

  Take your time, enjoy them years apart and appreciate them as intended.

Following
