Way more heavy handed than Parasite but it’s a dark/absurd comedy so it’s not a bad thing necessarily

I enjoyed this a lot. It was much more engaging than I thought a court room drama could be, and it effectively uses flashbacks and quick cuts to keep the pace up, intertwining real and movie footage together.
Aaron Sorkin is a master screenwriter. The story structure is also very similar to The Social Network, so it definitely plays to Aaron Sorkin’s strengths as a writer.
Eddie Redmayne makes an excellent performance, but the whole cast really did a great job. Though some characters were more in the backdrop, they all got some moment to shine.
All in all, it’s a great film. It’s timely, intense, funny, and emotional.
