Decision to Leave 2022
“Wise people like water, benevolent people like mountains. I am not benevolent. I like the sea.”
I’m more and more convinced this may be the best movie of the 2020’s. Certainly the most well shot and edited movie.
A visual poem about the mountain and the sea. It’s amazing how many layers are packed into every frame. Every color you can find in any given shot tells a story. The music, the focus, the camera movement - everything is done so meticulously to tell an incredibly layered, beautiful, tragic story of love and longing.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 2023
Easily the best MCU addition since Endgame and probably a top 5 all time MCU movie. I almost can’t believe how well everyone’s story concluded. Maybe the bar is so low with the MCU these days that I subconsciously expected a let down, but my (star)lord this has to be one of the best conclusions to a trilogy I have ever seen.
