  Disturbingly brilliant. The blend of horror, comedy, paranoia, and pure obsession is executed perfectly. My God, James Mason is the perfect delusional nonce in denial. I know I’ll be humming the Lolita theme song in my head for days, all while hearing James Mason’s heavily British voice shouting “Lolita” over and over again. An essential watch.

  Unbelievably aids. Borderline dark. It feels like this film was written by a bunch of 8 year olds trying to make everything as ’kool’ as possible, not realizing that they were just making everything sound rapey instead.
  I’m convinced that this film was done as a bit. It’s just too shit not to be, the animation, the Scottish accents, the talking beavers, it’s all just so crude.
  Sean Connery also sounds very frail and feeble which helps add to the overall darkness of the film.

  This is a trip to the moon on steroids. certainly the best work of the late great George Mélièsss. C'est bien. C’est magnifique! Le summum du cinéma muet français. ceux qui n'ont pas vu ce film sont en dessous de moi et ne peuvent jamais être considérés comme des amoureux du cinéma. je déteste ces gens.
