  basically like if amber waves’ documentary from Boogie Nights had the same horrible vibes as the limo/parking lot scene from Boogie Nights. fascinating conversations about the nature of putting on an act so much that you lose any sense of yourself. like the dehumanizing nature of performance can only be replicated by the disassociating effect of taking drugs. the final scene/monologue were absolutely devastating. just a grimy, depressing, and uncomfortable movie

  watched with my dad. so good, loved all the interviews they were able to get. the footage of the recording sessions was awesome. garth looked like the coolest guy ever just hunched over messing around on his organ. rick seemed like a really sweet guy. his quote about wanting to change the world when you’re younger then realizing we’re really just here to help our neighborhood was insightful. robbie and levon breaking down each song on the switch boards was…
